Stay Safe... Stay home...
On Thursday, March 19, 2020, California Governor Gavin Newsom issued an executive order issuing a stay at home decree and shuttering all non-essential businesses in California. The Executive Order includes a link to the Department of Homeland Security’s Cyber Security and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) which identifies the 16 critical infrastructure sectors and detailed information of which businesses are included in these sectors. You will find that the Aviation sub-sector of the Transportation Systems Sector details the following: “… the aviation mode includes commercial and recreational aircraft (manned and unmanned) and a wide variety of support services, such as repair stations, fueling facilities, navigation aids, and flight schools." While we are part of the aviation industry and deemed an “essential business” we have made the decision internally to join the fight to stop the spread and have ceased flights currently EXCEPT for emergency/ relief. We are all in this together and we will be stronger as a result. Regarding those flights, please be assured we will continue to follow all CDC, WHO, and medical advisories regarding employee hygiene, aircraft and facility sanitation, social distancing, and any other precautionary measures is deemed necessary to keep everyone safe and healthy.
And very importantly, please support small business now and when this epidemic is over. We will need to work together so we can all soar 😊
We look forward to flying everyone soon! OC Helicopters
